90-Second Gluten Free Bread in a Mug

To be honest, this recipe is not mine.  It’s actually a “keto” recipe.  Even though I am not a keto fan, it’s a good recipe.  This GF bread is made with clean ingredients,

it’s quick to make, and tastes light and fluffy.

My favorite way to eat it is to add almond butter and a dab of jam or banana slices.


  • 1 Tbsp butter or coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt


  1. Place butter or oil in a mug.  Microwave until melted, about 10-20 seconds. Swirl mug until fully coated.
  2. Combine almond flour, egg, baking powder, and salt in the mug.  Whisk until smooth.
  3. Microwave for 90 seconds.  Let cool for 2 minutes before slicing.
  4. Topping ideas: butter, nut butter, jam, scrambled eggs, mashed avocado
