I am not a Keto girl, but I am in favor of utilizing healthy fats to curb cravings. The original Keto recipe I tried was too oily for me so I experimented and created more balance. These fat bombs truly help satisfy and cut cravings. One will do the job! My kids love them too. Instead of a sugar high, my kids are more calm after eating these.
Note: Need silicone mold. For this recipe, I use two molds with 15 cylinder cups that are approximately 1.5 inches in diameter.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup nut butter (almond, sunflower seed, or peanut butter)
- 3/4 cup coconut oil (pure, extra virgin or organic)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup coconut flour
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
- Sweetener: 1/4 tsp powdered stevia OR 1-2 Tbsp monk fruit sweetener
- Sprinkle of sea salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnut pieces (optional)
Directions:
- In a small pot over medium heat, combine and melt nut butter and oil.
- In that same pot, add in the rest of the ingredients (except walnuts). Stir until creamy.
- Allow mixture to cool slightly so you can taste test sweetness. Add more sweetener if needed.
- Pour mixture evenly into molds. If desired, add walnut pieces evenly into molds for added crunch.
- Put molds in the freezer. Once solidified, pop out of mold and store in zip lock bag or Tupperware in freezer.
