Do you know where your metabolism is on this scale?

LOW:  damaged metabolism, slow metabolism, lots of metabolic damage

HIGH:  revved metabolism, healthy metabolism

Unfortunately, there’s no clear test to evaluate your metabolism level.

Why?  Because the metabolism is Complicated, with a capital C!  

👎 The old school equation of Calories In = Calories Out is based on deprivation (which damages the metabolism in the end!).  And this equation definitely doesn’t work for women near menopause or women with lots of stress.

👍 I prefer to think of the metabolism as an engine with lots of moving parts that need to work in synergy.  These moving parts are our systems, like our endocrine (hormone) system, immune system,  nervous system, digestive system, etc.  If one system is out of whack, the metabolism suffers.

To determine your level of metabolic damage and your metabolism level, it important to evaluate your symptoms.

Here’s a long list of symptoms that relate to your level of metabolic damage.

  • Inability to lose weight
  • Extra weight, mostly around your midsection
  • Energy dips
  • Exhaustion
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Lots of cravings
  • Joint pain/inflammation
  • Inconsistent bowels
  • Bloat/gas
  • Headaches
  • Skin issues
  • Anxiety

➡️ If you don’t have any symptoms (or maybe one), then your metabolism is pretty healthy (HIGH) – good job!

➡️ If you suffer from 2-4 of these symptoms, your metabolism is declining (MEDIUM).

➡️ If you struggle with 5 or more of these symptoms, you have a damaged metabolism (LOW).

The good news is that your metabolism CAN HEAL.

  • You just need the right program.
  • Not one that restricts major food groups.
  • Not one that starves or shocks your body.
