Greek Turkey Burgers

Turkey burgers provide a cleaner source of protein that is also a healthy alternative to beef. A turkey burger is low in fat and calories, but, as mentioned, high in protein. This means it will fill you up and keep you full! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 tsps olive oil
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper (diced)
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion (diced)
  • 2 cups Baby Spinach
  • 1/2 cup Almond Flour
  • 1 lb Extra Lean Ground Turkey (or Chicken)
  • 1/4 cup Black Olives (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Feta Cheese (crumbled)
  • Sea Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)

Directions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add red pepper and red onion to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until onion is translucent. Add baby spinach and stir just until wilted. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  3. Add almond flour, ground turkey, black olives and feta cheese to the mixing bowl. Now add in your sautéed vegetables. Mix well. Form the mixture into even patties and place on a baking sheet. Transfer to the fridge until ready to grill.
  4. Preheat grill over medium heat. Spray grill with oil to prevent sticking. Transfer burgers onto grill and cook for about 7 to 8 minutes per side or until burger is cooked through. Remove from grill.
  5. Plate burger over a bed of greens and serve with a small portion of your favorite starch, like quinoa or sweet potato.
