Why I tell my clients to get selfish🦞

I’d like to take a poll:
How many of you think you don’t have the time to…

  • Plan out menus every week?
  • Prep food each week?
  • Exercise daily?
  • Journal or meditate daily?

The health coach in me wants to be brutally honest with you… It’s called ❤️tough love❤️ because I want to see you succeed and I don’t want you to stick with your old patterns that are getting you in trouble.

Let’s be clear…
YES, you have the time! ⌛
Even if your calendar is maxed out and your to-do list is overflowing and you feel totally overwhelmed, I still believe that you have the time.

You see, it all depends on where your priorities lay!
  
Are you a people pleaser?  Do you always say YES?
If you can’t seem to say no and you love helping everyone out, this may be a problem?!?

Whether it’s… committing to another meeting, answering the phone with your drama filled friend, automatically working longer hours, driving to your kids’ practices and tutoring and playdates…

These are all common examples of how you might be overextending yourself. 😫😫😫

As a mom who works long hours, I am not bashing you.  I totally get it❤️

If you are working on a promotion and love your job, I totally understand why your focus and priority is with your work.  BUT what if you are fried from working too hard, your sleep is suffering, you are exhausted, and your brain is in slow motion?  

And I can 100% relate to all the moms out there.  Kids need sports and activities and continued education.  BUT what happens when your health goes downhill… When you are exhausted, your patience is shot, and yourself image is in the bucket?  

This is when you may want to reevaluate your priorities and make more time for what really matters, your health.  Making your health your main priority is not selfish, it’s smart.  ❤️‍🩹
