For me, being a mom is the most challenging job of all. 😓
Of course, it’s rewarding in so many ways but with three kids (two teenagers), sometimes I can’t deal with their poor attitude, laziness, or sloppiness.
I know you moms can relate!
Whether your kids are young or grown-up, do you struggle with mental exhaustion when all you are trying to do is be a good mom❓🙋🏽♀️
👎🏽 So many of my mom clients do not set clear boundaries. They are always there for their kids BUT mom’s needs and mom’s health automatically gets pushed to the bottom.
👎🏽 If moms do not set time aside for themselves on a regular basis, they feel guilty.
👎🏽 So many moms create an environment where they are the primary caregiver – they are in charge of too much and spread too thin (food shopping, making meals, cleaning, taxi service, homework duty, and coordinating IT ALL). I know this is true for me too because my kids are constantly shouting out MOM. I rarely hear them shouting out DAD.
Well I am here with a gift; a healthy reminder that you must put yourself first! This is not selfish – this is smart!!!!
I am giving you permission to:
🌟 Set boundaries
🌟 Consistently set time aside for YOU
🌟 Be kind (talk nice) to yourself
🌟 Delegate unwanted tasks
🌟 And it’s ok to say NO
All of these strategies are non-negotiable.
You might not be good at them tomorrow but you need to go in the right direction.
If you take better care of yourself (physically and mentally), I promise you that you will be a better mom. You will feel more energy and be happier. 😁 You will be more patient and be more present with your family. 😊
And one last thing… Be proud of your healthy and positive changes – share your intentions with your family.
If you are following through with these awesome strategies, then you are being a positive role model for your children.
You wish for your kids to live happy, healthy, balanced lives, correct?
Gotta start with mom! 💝
