I know that a “bean smoothie” does not sound appealing but I can guarantee that this smoothie will not disappoint. You know I am always on the lookout for balanced smoothies without a ton of fruit and sugar. I love my Daily Sustain protein powder and my signature low sugar smoothie recipes but I realize that not everyone will purchase my product. With the help of my client, we have developed a balanced low sugar smoothie recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 banana
- 2 Tbsp cacao powder
- 2 Tbsp nut butter
- 1/3 cup black beans (rinsed)
- 1/3 avocado
- 1 small squirt of raw honey
- 1 cup+ ice
Directions: Blend all ingredients in blender. You may need to add more liquid if using any frozen ingredients.
