What should I limit my sugar to in a day? 🤔

We all know that sugar is bad, right?!  😥 BOOHOO

Yes, I know it tastes good!  Like, who doesn’t like ice cream?🍧

But unfortunately, sugar is bad for your health and will slow down your metabolism.
👎🏾  Sugar causes bloat, fatigue, brain fog and major cravings.
👎🏾  It’s highly addictive and inflammatory.

So, that leads me back to the question… ❓What should we limit sugar to in a day

I want to give you a clear # but first, it’s essential that we talk about something more important…

I challenge you to think out of the box. 📤

If you think about this from a different perspective, you’ll learn the real answers.

💭 Instead of analyzing your daily needs or daily limit (of sugar), break it down meal by meal.

💭 If you follow this logic, you will learn how to stabilize your blood sugar and stress hormones!

💭 You will learn how to get in tune with your body and boost your metabolism.

Here are 2 different examples:

🍭 Scenario #1:  You ate 30 grams of sugar in the day.  You ate minimal sugar in the morning and afternoon but then you splurged at dinner.  You drank 2 margaritas and had dessert.  After dinner, you felt bloated and your pants were popping open and you felt like you needed a nap, pronto. 💤

🍭 Scenario #2:  You still consumed 30 grams of sugar in the day, but it was evenly dispersed throughout 5 small meals.  Even though you ate the same amount of sugar, your body was able to metabolize it, your blood sugar was stable, and you felt good all day. 👍🏼
Do you see the difference?? 🤩

So, back to my question… ❓What should we limit sugar to in a day

Here are my clear answers:

💡 Answer #1: If you are a diabetic or insulin resistant, I recommend to limit sugar to 5 grams of sugar or less at a meal (5 meals/day).

💡 Answer #2:  If you are NOT diabetic but you want to lose weight, I recommend to limit sugar to 10 grams of sugar or less at a meal (5 meals/day).
