Gear up for summer the right way 😎

I have a lot of thoughts and feeling arise when I think of summer.πŸ˜ŽπŸ–οΈ

My favorite childhood memories are at the Jersey Shore.Β  I was brought up in Philadelphia and winters were cold so I always felt alive in the summer.Β  I’ve always loved the warmth of the sun and living in bathing suits and flip flops.🩱🩴

But now I am a mom and we live in sunny Florida.β˜€οΈΒ 
Every day feels like summer here, which I LOVE and I try not to take for granted.Β  But I work full-time and my kids are out of school so summer feels different now.Β  I tend to get a bit anxious because I will have to juggle more than usual and all my healthy routines will most likely change. πŸ€ΉπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

So for me, summer ignites feelings of family fun mixed with overwhelm and anxiety. πŸ₯£

What does summer spark up for YOU❓❓❓

Is it pure excitement or dread?Β  Or most likely, somewhere in between.

Here are the most common things I hear:

πŸ‘™ The thought of being is a bathing suit freaks me out.

😩 We have so many summer plans – how am I going to stay on track with my nutrition and exercise?

πŸ—“οΈ Ugh, my morning routine is gone.Β  It’s so hard to find time for me when our summer schedule shifts every day/week.

I just want to remind you (and myself) that these thoughts about summer are totally normal.Β  Life is always throwing curveballs our way.Β  Our lives are always changing and shifting. πŸŒ‹

The good thing about summer is that we know it’s coming and we can plan ahead for it.

  2. What causes the most stress over summer? (Schedule too full, too much entertaining, etc).
