Dreading swimsuit time?🩱

My clients know that I rarely focus on looks and the scale.  I 100% believe that your success is more dependent on what’s inside (your mental health) than what’s outside (how you look).   BUT let’s get real… Most women are freaked about swimsuit season. 🩱☀️👙

If you’ve got extra belly fat and want to drop a few inches and feel comfortable (or semi-comfortable) in a swimsuit, then read on because I have real solutions for you.  

The problem is, we’ve tried our hand at this “how to lose belly fat” mission before…  

Most online searches yield the typical advice:

  • 30 days to 6 pack abs 😶‍🌫️
  • Juice cleanse 🧃
  • Intermittent Fasting ⏰
  • And my favorite … Just do CARDIO 🏃🏻‍♀️💨

The problem with these tactics?

At the end of the day, you’re feeling deprived and hobbling with sore muscles and no lean midsection to show for it.

You see, none of these strategies address the real problem.

💡The real problem is how our body stores excess weight in our midsection.💡
So to address the real problem, we start with what I call, a 3 pronged attack:

1.   Good Posture: You need to have a way to pinpoint where your daily patterns are sabotaging your posture and by default – core strength.  If you can identify and correct where your posture is tanking, you’ll be on your way to strengthen your posture and stand taller with an engaged core, and you will naturally slim down around the midsection.   🪜

2.   Conquer Bloat:  Let’s be real… most people cannot maintain proper posture with engaged core muscles all the time.  Why?  It’s not laziness.  It’s because they are bloated.  Most people eat foods that cause inflammation and bloat.  Even so called “healthy foods” may not be right for you and may cause bloating and increased belly size.   🎈

3.   Get Cortisol Down: Yes, you will feel leaner when bloating is down and your posture is improved BUT what’s the real reason for extra belly fat?  Two words… HIGH CORTISOL.  If you live a high stress life or you just don’t handle stress well, your adrenal glands will constantly be secreting cortisol.  And if you are tough on your body and mind with poor sleep, yo-yo dieting, over-exercising, or negative self-talk, your cortisol will be on high alert. It’s essential to know what lifestyle habits and thoughts are triggering cortisol if you want to keep belly fat at bay. 👇🏻
