Betsy Markle is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Yoga Instructor. With her extensive education in clinical dietetics and exercise science and her experience in the holistic field, Betsy is able to provide her clients essential knowledge and tools to achieve newfound health and happiness.

Betsy was the head clinician and researcher for nationally known Endocrinologist and author, Dr. Diana Schwarzbein. Participating in clinical research for many years at the Schwarzbein Institute, she gained a great understanding about the power of nutrition and supplements. From her experience there, Betsy was inspired to start her own comprehensive nutrition & fitness program, Sunshine Wellness. Betsy is now helping numerous clients throughout the country reach their wellness goals.

Betsy lives happily with her supportive husband and two beautiful kids. Betsy always strives for a balanced life for herself and her family. Although Sunshine Wellness is a growing business that requires a lot of her attention, Betsy manages to stay active by participating in triathlons, yoga, surfing, and chasing her kids. Some of her other hobbies that keep her happy are arts & crafts, cooking, and reading. The Markle family loves to travel throughout the US and Costa Rica exploring this beautiful world. From her personal and professional experiences, Betsy has learned that staying healthy is both integral to being happy and critical to living a long and healthful life.

What color should your stool be?  

Obviously stool should be brown, but it can have a greenish tone if you eat a lot of green leafy vegetables. Also, your stool can turn green if you take too much iron. If your stool has a yellow tone, this may be linked to a more serious issue, like the Giardia parasite. more »
