5-HTP Synergy, 50 mg 90 caps  Our modern, stressful lives lower levels of the feel-good neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin depletion leads to food cravings, depression, sleep disturbances and other mood disorders. The pharmaceutical industry has responded to the serotonin crisis by creating a wide array of medications which seek to restore serotonin metabolism. A better approach may be to replete serotonin naturally by using its precursor, 5-hydroxytryptophan (5HTP). Supplementation with 5-HTP encourages brain serotonin levels that can lead to positive effects on emotional well-being, appetite control, and wake/sleep cycles.

Recommended Use:
As a dietary supplement, take one capsule per day or as directed by your health care practitioner.

Expert Advice

Is your child’s school lunch program healthy?

Improving school lunch programs is a popular topic these days and for good reason. Most public schools have given in to the big money maker companies and have scaled down food service costs by preparing fast processed foods. I asked a student what the typical lunch consists of and she said: fried nuggets, fried chips, cookies and a soda or sports drink. So the typical meal does not have anything fresh, like fruits or vegetable, and is filled with hydrogenated fats, sugar, and chemicals.
